24-Day Trip on Specially Reconfigured 757 Would Take Three Times as Long on Commercial Flights

According to American Express Travel, interest in venturing around the world either by air or sea is on the rise. In fact, American Express Travel is seeing double digit passenger growth for around-the-world cruises in 2008 vs. 2007. Along the way, private access, immersion in the local culture, and exceptional service and perks are in high demand by intrepid world travelers.  To meet this demand, American Express Travel has partnered with Abercrombie & Kent to offer 52 discerning travelers an unprecedented, once-in-a-lifetime adventure – a 24-day worldwide itinerary by private jet to five continents and eight destinations that includes some of the world’s most remote and “must see” sites.  The trip provides a unique balance of cultural immersion and the luxury, convenience and service upscale travelers have come to expect.

Starting in Los Angeles, the private jet will circle the globe, touching down at such remote and sparsely-visited destinations as Easter Island to popular Sydney, Australia to colorful Jaipur, India to the birthplace of Flamenco– Seville, Spain, until its final landing in New York. While luxury can be experienced on every leg of the trip, the greatest luxury of all is the precious time saved it provides by allowing travelers to make this trip in one-third the time it would take on commercial flights, leaving no moment ill-spent for its V.I.P. travelers.
